Hi Recently i bought a used TOYOTA PRIUS Hatchback 1.5 T3 Petrol Hybrid CVT 104 g /Km 76 BHP (08/03 - 03/09) I made the worst mistake and washed the engine with jet wash including inverter side all engine compartments. Let it dry and start the car after 2 days it turn on but all dashboard lights were on. Break pedal was pushing upwards try to drive and rest was looks okay. Tried to use Street wise OBD 2 SWOBD and Mini OBD2 ELM327 V1.5 Bluetooth Car Scanner Android Torque Auto Scan Tool OBD-II They were not reading any code, not clearing the lights Called AA and he told me these Error Codes Are Store on system 1- C1246 Pressure Sensor, Master Cylinder Faulty Operation 2- C1256 Hydraulic Accumulator Pressure too Low 3- C1319 Sol. Valve 1/torque conv. Clutch Faulty Operation 4- C1344 Passenger side rear pressure sensor Faulty Operation 5- C1364 ACC sensor Faulty Operation 6- C1365 Pressure Sensor, Accumulator Faulty Operation He said its problem with the ABS pump and not dangerous drive and may clear the error itself. Drove about 45 miles nothing changed but when drive with speed looks okay and same on lower speed or when parked. Later engine start banging I parked the car and remove HV battery safety clip and disconnect 12V battery. Reconnect both and car stops starting after that, warning lights on Full dash is on Now I want to start to check by myself Please anyone guide which one is the cheap best option for me to read Error codes from ECU. Today bought 16 Pin Mini VCI Toyota Lexus TIS TechStream OBD2 Diagnostic Interface Scanner V14 bought from e bay item no= eBay item number: 153432853168 First thing I want to start read error codes than proceed what to do next. I parked the car and remove HV battery safety clip and disconnect 12V battery. Reconnect both and car stops starting after that, warning lights on Full dash is on Most likely, after removing the safety disconnect, you failed to perform the third step upon reinstallation. You have to insert the disconnect, rotate the handle upward and then push straight down on it. The third step will push the handle straight down vertically about 1/2 inch, which engages the sensor that tells the ecu it's installed properly. If you don't do the third step, which many people fail to do, the car thinks the safety disconnect is still removed and it will code out the car.
Part of the ABS system is a unit that is against the firewall on the lower left (RHD Passenger) side of the engine bay. It is down low behind the inverter (follow the brake lines from the brake fluid reservoir.) I'd be having a good investigation down there to see what you upset with the pressure washer.
Thanks For catching my mistake. i fully insert and put handle up ............but was not pushing it down after all. thanks its start now.... now i need to move forward .... Engine is banging loud and shaking while car stationary ...like doing missing ...when move fast it don't feel like engine shaking ...
i think you are talking about " ABS Brake Pump + Module" .. AA Technician told me that errors are about ABS Pump. when i push down Break ..... Break pedal Pushed back to my feet so think problem is their. first need to sort out engine bang that's worried me. As AA Technician Said ABS pump is pushing Break pedal will go away wait pedal. so do that investigate Later. Never heard of that app before, and would wait for the mini-vci cable over buying something unknown. If you need something now, here is the sub-forum were you can research the various apps that might be useful : Prius OBDII Third-Party Apps | PriusChat Without knowing which device/platform you're using, it would be hard to recommend something. After techstream, many here use one or more versions of Torque, Hybrid Assistant, Dr Prius, and or whatever iOS apps are current. Find a free lite version of one of those apps and give it a spin.
Hi Today was a hard and busy day. Car was banging will add video to listen but high rev was fine. Decided to chang spark plug and changed but no difference. Looked on injectors and they gone bad because with engine was all dirt feather around injectors and they were black and looked block from engine side . So clean them as well. But still on drive got missing and these error codes are picked by OBD11 torque . Photo attached .... What shall I do to remove misfire please recomend if I check with mini VCI what I need to look and where thanks What shall I do next thanks
And where, on the car, is that? If it was cheap (like < £10) and you want the raw 07AE, 07E8 and 07EB codes to be translated to the correct Toyota DTCs so the it makes sense to the rest of us. But, it might still be unable to give you Freeze Frame data, and therefore any INF or Detail codes. On the other hand, at least you would have the high level codes with which to work, so there is that.
Its Behind The inverted with a large size Electric plug. but mine now for the time being that problem looks back to normal Today i will use mini VCI ....new to the software so need help what i need to look in that now i had a missing problem want to find out is it injector which one Ignition Coil which one Spark plug which one Throttle body working okay how i will find that with mini VCI or no way to check that
Thanks everyone for their help and support. Special thanks to TMR-JWAP After long struggle today car start working Now few minor problem not effecting driving. My car engine was washed first problem was with electric parts. Second with spark plug and coils their. More damage to the coils because water over their went in after engine heat up and cause misfire. So change one coil. Third injectors was like in all engine washed waste puddle and injector seal with engine was burnt because mileage is 276000 Miles. And all dirt gone to injectors .so clean them. Today it start working normal Mini VCI and techstream really helpful to quick identify the problem. Even I was very new to software. Now few problems. First with the drive selecter Function B select but dont act as a break on vehicle. And P also dont work as park. Selector show selection on screen but car keep rolling. Any help thanks. Engine developed 2 new errors. P0171 powertrain System too lean (Bank 1) P0420 powertrain Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (Bank 1) Might be both because of engine extreme knocking that put extra fuel in the exhaust. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
