Prius interior gasing off, smell

    2007 Prius with 245k miles. Original battery. Within the last year it has developed a weird smell, like some kind of plastic or foam is deteriorating. A kind of smell that sticks to clothing. Is this normal in old Priuses. I am also questioning the tint I put in a couple years ago but it was quality 3M tint that isn't deteriorating

    There's so many weird smells to choose from in life... But put your nose up to the right rear intake vent for battery pack next to the back seat and if that's the smell you're concerned with let me know and I'll explain further.

    Lol I know that vent smell. I imagine it's the batteries. I don't think it's that

    there are vent tubes in the hybrid battery that can smell horrific

    ...and aren't needed at all. Its just a pain to get them out.
