Swapped a used hybrid battery ECU immobilizer and ignition into a 2002 prius. Car turns on but no “ready”. There are no error codes. I’m leaning towards inverter being bad since I don’t see inverter coolant pump moving liquid. I’ve checked fuses and battery is good. iPhone ?
Yes, but I have had a prius run with a bad pump. It would start and then go into limp mode. I cant get the car to show “ready” iPhone ?
By "immobilizer", do you mean the transponder key ECU? The factory service manual says that if you swap that ECU, you should do the following: 1. Register the keys with the new ECU. 2. Put one of the keys in the ignition, turn it ON, and leave it sit that way for 30 minutes. 3. Turn the key to "start" and the engine should start. This is on page BE-103 of Volume 2 of the 2001 factory service manual. The pages around there have more information on how to learn in and unlearn the keys (most of which you can do without tools), etc. If you're looking at it on techinfo.toyota.com, the path is probably: Vehicle Interior > Body Electrical > Hybrid Vehicle Immobilizer System There is also: Vehicle Interior > Body Electrical > Hybrid Vehicle Immobiliser System with a few more pages from this section - note 's' instead of 'z'.
