Question, is the headlight plug is the same on the Prime as the regular Prius? I got a 2019 Prius LE, the plug has the same green wire that supposedly for the blinker. I'm trying to do the sequential DRL like yours as well, I'm just not sure which to wire it to.
I did not wire my DRL into my head light- only DRL main line to my fuse box and DRL signal line into my prime signal connector 12+. As long as you can identify the +12v line from the headline connector, you sb fine. iPhone ?
Oh no no! I know what you mean, I'm not wiring it into the headlight either. It's the plug (see picture). You wired it into the plug as shown in the picture, yeah? Green wire for the blinker? Yes? What I'm concern about is if the plug on your prime is the same as the plug on my LE. I'd really hate cutting into the wrong wire lol. Cheerz
Did some mock testing on mine last night. Limited trim with fog lights. Going to grab a volt meter & see what wires have power coming off the turn signal harness. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Originally I tapped directly into the turn signal/DRL plug. Worked great with testing just the flashers but using the turn signal it would blink once then nothing ,not even in the dash. Found out the lights need power to the white running lights to use the turn signal. Since I tapped into the DRL for that I'd have to have it on so did some testing and added a blocking diode on both blinker power lines. It worked, the turn signal works without needing the white DRL power. Months later when doing another project I remove the white DRL from the plug & ran it into the cabin with a switch to a fuse tap. So now my white lights come on with the car & can toggle them off. Only had one issue since where the white running lights were on & one started flashing orange then remained orange until powering off & back on. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
