Wow.. PCV doesn't have on local autozone.. need to order to deliver Monday.. Change PCV on 120,000 miles.. ( 25,000 miles away). I guess Manifold and EGR valve need to change every 250,000 miles anway. The EGR cooler will be f@ck hard to take off.
Yes! The PCV valve is an important component of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation system, ever since circa 1963.
That reminded me of my poker playing days. I used to play poker and when I’d increase the bet, I’d say “raise”. Most of my friends said “you haven’t won the game yet”. I guess “Ray’s” can mean multiple things if not written out.
Better not be negative . If so, that means it ain’t workin. At least there is something positive in the world.
Not on a Prius, but I had a friend with an E150 that had a Bank 1 lean code. Took the PCV valve out and the spring was gone, but the plunger was still in it. It was the strangest thing I had seen in a long time.
Alright... get it done.. Manifold, Throttle, EGR pipe, MAF sensor cleaned. Run smoothly.. Tomorrow, Engine and Inverter coolant replace and Spark Plus replace. What's cap on Spark Plus you guys recommend? I'm going to use SC20HR-11 Denso IRIDIUM Spark Plug What else you guys recommend to change or replace? EGR coolant f@ck harder to take off.
The van has like almost 300k on it. The spring can be wherever it wants to be. LoL Funny thing about it, the 5.4 in it ran so quiet at idle after I put the new PCV valve in it, you couldn’t even hear it running. The owner tried starting it and zinged the starter against the flywheel. LoL
I think Toyota's switched to Denso SC16HR-11, slightly hotter. Yeah you need to get on that EGR valve/cooler clean out.
