Is there a way to turn up the steering wheel lights?

Not sure about turning them up, but i'm pretty sure they respond to the dimmer controls with the rest of the lights...

I was wondering that myself as I was driving last night. I played with the dimmer control, but that appears to only control dash and screen brightness, it appeared to have no effect on my steering wheel control lights. They do seem to be very dim, much dimmer than any other vehicle I have previously owned.

 

The first time I drove car was at night, and I thought the same thing. Those lights are barely visible. I guess you're meant to get used to the button's locations and learn them by touch, since the purpose of them is to not take your eyes off the road. And no, the dimmer doesn't affect those lights at all.

 

The dimmer doesnt seem to change the light. I think there was a post about this earlier and as far as I can remember there is no direct way to tune up the lights. As pointed out by Soylent the buttons are meant to be learnt by touch (you will notice that there is small depression or protrusion for most controls like volume up and down to aid in this process). My experience is that driving in lighted streets or within city limits the lights on the steering wheel are barely visible but they do stand out while diriving on a highway outside of city lights at night.

 

I was wondering about this too. Thinking back, my last car had no lighting for the steering wheel controls - so I'm happy with the little bit that's there.

DARREL THE RAV4-EV NUT OUGHT TO HAVE IT DONE ALREADY. I'd MUCH rather learn how to (slightly) DIM the turn signal arrows...and to have ANY lighting at ALL on the MFD buttons.

Move to Florida, where the turn signal indicators are, apparently, a feature for which you have to pay more to have adjustable!
