Whaddup, fellas! While I’m not new to Prii (There are three in my immediate family), I just bought my first one! She’s an oldie (2005 with 330,000 miles +, but never been in an accident ) Picked it up with all the dash Christmas lights for $600 She has taken some TLC to get running right, by most of the work I could do myself: -Hybrid battery change. Still had the original pack -Upon changing the battery, my dash was shot. Took it all apart and replaced the bad capacitor on the back of the display -Changed old oil -Replaced filthy engine air filter -Computer threw two codes related to the MAF (Mass air flow sensor), and I figured at that mileage I might as well just throw a new one in. Fixed the codes, allowed the O2 sensor to read correctly, and resolved uneven / rough idling I was experiencing. -Spend two hours cleaning the hybrid battery cooling fan. It had over a millimeter of caked on grime on it with dog hair layered over it. I’m guessing that contributed to the previous battery overheating and blowing array #3 Absolutely love this baby. Easily gets 56 mpg+ now that I fixed all that stuff. Excited to baby her and keep it running smooth!

Just purchased a 2004 #9 Prius with the dreaded warning triangle on with HV battery code and bad 12v . I work as a tech here in Oregon and this vehicle was towed to our shop after sitting many years unused (tabs expired 2015 ) 166k rough miles on it customer didn't want to fix it so gave it to shop owner .we had another 2007 132k towed in month or so later with bad HV battery which a new Toyota Battery was sold and installed out the door it went so I had this HV battery sitting on my bench ,never opened one up so started googling and decided to look inside lots of corrosion on buss bars which I took off and started measuring voltages on the cells and after watching how to charge and cycle them started messing about with them .next day what gets towed in but a 2006 with only 70k and another bad HV code but I had also learned how to read the scan data and watch the cell voltages so ran a couple full throttle accel runs in reverse (best load test)while graphing the battery cell voltages and it confirmed which cell was bad on low mileage batt pack (for liability issues a new battery was installed) but I now had two batteries on my bench. Having learned all this I took data i had and swapped four of the best cells from first battery into low mileage unit and put it into the freebie pruis on my own time and it's all happy now so purchased the vehicle from my boss and it's now my daily commuter (went from 24 mpg AWD sedan to 50mpg on my 28 mile commute to work ) Had a dead MFD which i had circuit board connector reflowed at local computer shop and it now works perfectly ,has navigation and 9 speaker CD system . Body is a bit rough but it's perfect for a commuter. Looking forward to many more miles on this Prius SM-G960U ?
I’m thinking about getting a 2007 Prius with 175k miles on it. They’re asking $3400. Wondering if that’s a good deal. I’m a little concerned with the mileage being so high since on my Kia Soul I only have about 67k. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Hello everyone, Here's my 2015 Prius which came with a sunroof and the solar panels. Some of the mods I want to do to this car will be air ride, wheels and some body mods. If anyone has any information on how I can get some decent negative camber out of the front and rear that would be great.
Hey everyone hope everything is well here is my classic 05' Driftwood Pearl Prius with ivory cloth interior got it for 3,000 dollars has a new hybrid battery and has 150,000 miles and counting, minor oxidation and no body damage minus a big rock dent in hood, all of this will be fixed soon and no stains rips or tears in cloth its my new daily driver to save me on gas!
Hello everyone! Bought my PriusC last December. Bumped across this forum and thought it would be a good place for information and common interest. Here is my PriusC a 2018. Don't see many black ones and I dig black cars so when this was presented on the lot I was right to it! Lovin the car so far, killer mileage, sporty look, and has way more pickup than expected (smoked a guy in a Mitsubishi the other day ). Starting to add some badging and mods. Added a grill TRD badge and modified and fit a hot rod skull shifter handle. Plans are to add a K&N perm filter (have run one of these on all the cars I have owned), some more TRD badges, and want to black out the rear door windows. Enjoy!
I'm on my third Prius now. I owned a 2013 Prius C that was rear ended. I then purchased a used 2015 Four a couple of years ago and just last month bought a base 2008 with 108K miles. I have an 80 mile round-trip commute that I do three days a week and these cars have saved me a ton on gas!
I have been driving my new Prius to work about 50 miles a day. Averaging 60 miles a gallon. Saving 1/3 of my car payment. Plus it is a great drive and a fun car.

Eh, seems like station wagons are not anymore popular in the US...so low demand = no model. It’s so strange how a huge difference is between markets.
