I bought my Prius because I love to hyper mile. If I wanted to drive off road I'd probably get a Ford.
To me, my PIP is first and foremost a Toyota, which means to me at least (from long experience) it can take a licking and keep on ticking. Short of getting high centered I use it like any other rig, I sure don't baby it. The fact that it also gets incredible mileage is a bonus. As is it's sound system, best I've ever had anyway! I was up that same road today again.....
Unclear why this is an issue. It's gonna be about the same off-road as other modern fwd cars, which means better than the '64 Buick my parents had.
