Happy weekend guys! Myn last reply came out goofy. Here is the repost.

Very nice! I love those anodized parts really really brings out the contrast. How do they ride?
I think everything about cars are buy now enjoy it now kind of way . Getting something later is just enjoying it less on the vehicle and paying the same. You can always make more money, but time for all of us in limited.
Make decisive actions! If you will be in your vehicle for many days of your life for example 1999 day out of 28,835 days in your life , then make sure you like what you are in because that's a good 7 % of your life in a car.

There was a video about life and how long we actually spend time on things we do. I'll post a link to it down below, this really brings things into perspective. Enjoy life guys!

I am so happy to see the box arrive in great condition! I apologise for the English text, we will be refinishing it in the future! Are you going to install the Red Bullet this weekend?

Just got mine but have not yet installed it. This looks like a big bulky solenoid, so do I need to trim the plastic valve cover for it to fit? Also have you installed one personally on your car?

    Hi!

No trimming needed. It will clear the area after installation, you are referring to the engine cover right? The long grey plastic sitting on top of the engine. I will try to find photos of people who have installed it for your reference.

I’ve had a mildew smell in my car for a few months now.. when I first had the smell I ripped out the carpet on the passenger side and notice that the ac drain line was gone! The car had been pouring all the drain water into the passenger side carpet. Got a new drain line and put it back and dried out the foam and sound deadener which took a few days. Also put some mold killer down under there while the foam was drying.

Well the smell didn’t go away.. so finally had a chance this weekend to rip out the rear carpet.. sure enough it was soaked?! Ripped out all the sound deadener and threw it away .. there were ants trying to grow there?! Wth. Sprayed the whole thing under neath with anti mold/bacteria spray.. only thing I had.. it seems the water had gotten there through a big rubber grommet that somehow popped up. After dropping a maguiers smell good bomb in the car, the car finally smells fresh again!!! Has this happened to anyone else?!

I believe it does need a little trimming because the solenoid touched the plastic cover on mine. The Red Bullet sits higher.

Hi MPGRaja, I have not received any feed back regarding the need for trimming of the valve cover at this time. If you can please post picture of your situation for reference. Thank you for bring this up!

Thanks for all of the follow up. Have you personally tested the solenoid yourself? As per your personal opinion?

My cousins car did this. The AC line was disconnected. Flooded the back passenger floor as well. The rubber plug in hers was fine though.. All the water came from up front. Reconnected the line and basically did the same with the carpet. Such an odd design. Glad you got it sorted tho! That smell is awful!

White vinegar does a great job of getting rid of the smell and killing any mold.
If you can angle it so the sun is beating on it, that also works.

Installed the Injen intake. I dig the way it sounds. Also, I know its only a 1 or 2% (debatable increase) but that 1-2% for sure helps when not in power mode. Its amazing how much crap this single tube replaces.

So when you have to take it in for visual inspections, what will happen ?

I will just put the stock one back on. Takes half the time the instructions say it does and I only need to worry about it every 2 years.

Whats a bummer is that I did notice on the Injen instructions that some of their intakes are CARB, sadly, this one isnt..

    You are very welcome!

We have tested the solenoid for highway road trip, urban commute on normal, urban commute on ECO, urban commute with AC and without. Highway merge test I did it 3 times with pedal to the metal run on both OEM and Red Bullet, took videos too for that which was really dangerous, but it did show better acceleration on all 3 runs. TheChip ran the Red Bullet on his quarter mile Prius with faster speed and shorter time.

Right now I'm trying to do a comparison test of fuel economy.
For a full tank there was already data which pointed in a fuel use reduction. At the moment I'm trying to control the measuring device by using the onboard fuel gauge as a point of refrence and count how much distance I could cover with each bar, we are not counting the top bar for obvious reason due to we don't know where it actually starts.
The average bar count for the OEM is completed, the results can be viewed at OEM after Red Bullet post. Right now I am in the process of running the Red Bullet and gathering data. My commute has been steady for the past 2 months with very little deviation from my usual route. This should build a good platform for future comparison.

I hope this will help for now. We are in the process of setting up a technical webpage for a detailed description of how The Red Bullet works and data we acquired over the past 3 months specifically for the Prius line.

Here you are. You can see the cover touch and is bent. When the engine is hot it easily bends over it.

I see the photo MPGRaja, I'll talk to the manufacture about it. Would you say clocking it a few degrees to the left (counter clockwise) will clear the cover? Is your cover OEM or a upgrade?

Guys and girls if you also have the issue with the cover please let me know. Thanks.
