I ordered a white prius with tan a few weeks ago and it is due in in a few weeks. I called my dealership to check on the progress and he told me he has a white with grey that I could take now if I wanted. What would you do? I have always had black/grey in my other cars, and it seems to show some dirt, but would tan show even more on the inside? It is the exact same car except of the interior color. If you had to do it again, would you get the grey or tan or does it matter? Am I just excited that I might just be able to get it early???? PLEASE HELP ASAP because the grey interior might be gone before I know it! Thanks!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(yarzy @ Sep 6 2006, 12:51 PM) </div> I've got white with gray, and I upgraded from cloth seats to leather seats. I son't think I'd like the tan - too easy to get dirty, for me.
I ordered white with grey, just because everything tan seems to show dirt and stains. I like the grey too as it is darker and I have blacked out rear windows and lightly tinted fronts, so everything stored inside the car is better hidden. Go look at the car in person and see if you like it. If so buy it!
I have the beige ("bisque") interior. I did the opposite; I ordered the gray interior, then settled for the beige because It's What They Could Get in my requested package with the Barcelona Red exterior I wanted. The beige is a very light beige. I think it'll show dirt & grime more quickly than the gray. After two months I'm already starting to get an elbow-print on the driver's door armrest and I don't think of myself as a filthy person. (The elbow-print is gray, by the way. I'm not sure you wanted to know that.) So I actually slightly wish that I'd held out for the darker gray. Don't know if that helps.
I think white with tan looks much better. A darker interior may show less dirt- which is functional- but as far as style tan is the way to go.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(yarzy @ Sep 6 2006, 07:51 AM) </div> I have the white with the grey leather interior and am very happy with it. When it is clean the beige looks great but I would worry about shoeing dirt and smudges. In leather, at least, the grey shows almost nothing and goes with the white AND the interior trim just fine.
I have white with beige interior. I wanted blue with gray interior, but refused to wait. I have been keeping the beige clean, but it takes some effort. I almost live in my car, 2+ hours a day, and the console top gets dirty, and the kick panel and lower doors shows scuff marks. Also the carpeted mats look dirty without rug shampoo often. It all cleans up so far, but I'd gladly trade for gray interior any time. Good luck. Great car, beige or gray! p.s. My two Subarus interiors are black, and gray, and show (almost) no dirt or wear in a combined 190,000 miles. After 15K the Prius ls looking a little dirty inside despite constant cleaning.
Thank you all for your reply's. I have decided to get the grey interior.. NOW I JUST HAVE TO WAIT A DAY TO GET IT!!! I AM REALLY EXCITED!
