Android Auto Head Unit and 2nd Gen Prius Steering Wheel Controls?

    I'm thinking about buying an Andriod Auto compatible head unit for my 2nd Gen Prius Base model (non-JBL sound system). Ideally, I'd get the steering wheel controls to work with the head unit. Do you need any kind of special adapter, canbus fiddling, wiring harness or anything else to get the steering wheel controls to work with these units?

    I bought the $50 double din touchscreen from amazon, including rear camera to install on my '05. Also will be changing out stock speakers. Bluetooth and mirror phone image.

    Thanks Andy for the heads up. Could you please link to the Amazon unit you purchased? Trying to get a grasp as to what that wiring looks like on these things, as this is the first I've ever attempted to change out a head unit in a car. I appreciate it!
