TPS, ABS, brake, traction control lights on, loss of regen braking after alignment

    As the title states, I just got an alignment done. Afterwards, I noticed that the traction control, brake, ABS, and TPS brake system warning lights were all on. I asked the technician who did my alignment, and he tried to reset by unplugging my 12V battery, but that hasn't seemed to help. He suggested I take the car to a mechanic.

    While driving the car home, I also noticed that the regenerative brakes don't seem to be working much at all, according to the hybrid system indicator.

    I have a Bluetooth OBDII tool and Torque Pro, but that's not detecting any codes. I tried clearing the codes but that didn't do anything either

    Edit: I went to a local shop, and they told me that the master cylinder has gone bad somehow. The guy said the car is throwing codes for "calibration" and the "linear valve." He said that some piston is stuck is stuck in the down position and won't come up, and I will need to replace the master cylinder... Any advice?

    Sounds like one of the ABS sensors was damaged or failed. I had all those lights on with no regen braking when my left rear abs sensor failed. I connected to my car with my cReader but it wouldn't show any codes when I connected as a Toyota. I connected as a Lexus ct250h and all the codes were there. If they put in rear alignment shims there's a good chance they damaged the sensor.

    I actually recently blew two tires and damaged the rims. I've been having alignment issues since then. Maybe I damaged the sensors myself when the tires blew out? But the place where I replaced my tires and repaired my rims didn't mention anything about the sensors being bad

    I don't know about the first place I went to for alignment, but the second place (where I went today before my lights came on) specifically told me they couldn't do the rear alignment, and that I would have to get a mechanic to use a shim to do it

    Edit: So according to this shop I went to, my master cylinder has somehow gone bad...

    So after seeing the threads about the brake booster assembly warranty/recalls, I decided to take the car to the dealership to see if that was perhaps the issue. However, I've just heard back from the dealership that my issue is not covered by the warranty program. Any ideas what I should do now?

    I'm thinking I should speak to the alignment place and have them try to resolve this issue. I mean, the issue started immediately after they did the alignment. The dealership has not mentioned anything about it to me, but should I ask them if they think the alignment shop messed up and caused this?

    My thoughts, pretty much...

    I'm guessing this won't be resolved through adjustments/programming, and I'm going to have to have the part replaced. Anyone know what part exactly I need? The local mechanic shop had mentioned the master cylinder needs to be replaced. However, when I tried looking the part up, the search results are for either the entire brake booster assembly, or what seems to be a reservoir

    So you have 3 different threads in regards to your problem. (n)

    Anyways, have you tried clearing the codes with Techstream or disconnecting the 12v battery to see if any codes and MIL come back?

    Yeah... well 2. I had initially posted a thread for help with figuring out suspension problems. Then I started having warning lights on the dashboard, and I made this thread. I posted on the recall thread as well, but it's not my thread

    12V was disconnected by the alignment technician when I initially reported the warning lights, immediately after the alignment. That didn't seem to do anything about the lights. I'm sure the dealership has done all of this too, right?

    I did try clearing the codes with an OBDII Bluetooth tool and Torque Pro, but I couldn't find any codes and clearing the codes didn't do anything.

    I haven't tried with Techstream yet. I did recently get an MVCI cable, but I don't think it works. I had gotten it to try to add a key, but the cable doesn't seem to connect properly, and the Techstream DLC3 cable check utility shows bad connections.

    What's MLI?

    One thing you could try before spending that money is eliminate that mechanic from the question temporarily by following the initiate-linear-solenoid-offset-learning procedure in the repair manual precisely, on your own. If it doesn't work you're back where you are now, and if it does, you've got $2400 to spend on other priorities.

    The procedure has both a Techstream version and a just-jumper-a-wire version for those days where you don't have a Techstream rig handy, or the dongle acts flaky.

    I'm sorry I was unclear, but both the local mechanic shop as well as the dealership have tried the relearning procedure with no success. Do you think I should still try on my own?

    And yeah, I wasn't planning to spend $2400 at all... I was going to try to find a used part and get a local shop to replace it for me.

    Well, at least you'd be able to give us a more complete description of "I did these steps in this order, and this thing, this thing, and this thing happened", which you generally don't get from the shop when they say "yup, we followed the exact procedure, and it didn't work."

    I had the same lights come up on my 2012 Prius V , I believe this is due to the actual battery being disconnected on the negative side and the hybrid batter disconnection as well the only solution that seemed to have worked for me was to disconnect the positive terminal and then hit the brake pedal few times along with the Power button to completely discharge all source of power, the lights have not come back and I have driven over 1000 km

    Well, the lights had came on for me without disconnecting the battery. We did try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, but that didn't do anything.

    Trouble code C1345 was read, and I ended up replacing the brake booster. Seems okay now

    Exact same issue. Took it to a Toyota dealer and they said the Reservoir Assembly (part #47220-47080) needed to be replaced.

    Highly unlikely to be the same issue (exact, or even approximate). I see that you've even posted this on another thread where the issue was different from this one, and said it was the exact same issue there too. What gives?

    There are a lot of reasons for brake warnings to come on. As for how often they mean the reservoir needs replacing, well, this is the first case I've seen.
