CVT freewheeling issue

'K, but I'd venture that a good way to help new people comprehend it is to start by helping them understand that it is exactly a transmission, performing exactly the function a transmission performs, so there's that concrete context into which to start fitting an explanation of how it does that.

... and saying it isn't a transmission just moves the epiphany farther off.

 

I agree finally got room in the shop to put it up on the lift I'm tearing it down as I speak testing the 12-volt battery might check the EGR system again LOL if all else fails I'll build a tube chassis and drop the body over on it with a LS in it

 

As usual, my friend, your logic is unassailable. You won me over.

 

I would check the rubber insert on the front and rear transaxle mount. My 2010 has 226k on it. There is a definite shudder on ICE start. The front transaxle mount has a crack across the rubber bushing in a spot. It does move quite a bit on ICE start. I’d venture to guess you might be feeling some movement, thereby creating a “shudder” type feel.
