    Howdy-

About to purchase my mom’s 2011 with about 65k on it. Wondering, on average, how many miles you’ve got in your ‘11s?

Maybe more to the point: is your concern regarding any problems with low miles? I wouldn't be concerned with your Mom's car, that's light usage, but not overly so.

Now drive a hard bargain, lol.

Original owner at 212,640 miles. Oil change every 5000 miles and tire rotation. Changed struts and shocks at 150,000. EGR cleaned and oil catch can installed then also. Changed the water pump for preventative maintenance. Lubed brake slide pins. Bled brakes twice so far. No other brake maintenance or pad change. 50+ mpg every tank and seldom exceed any posted speed limit. Mostly highway miles. Still running my second set of tires with 106,000 miles on ‘em.

No concerns at all. Mom’s had the thing dealer serviced, all the recalls, etc. at every interval and the car still smells new. I was simply wondering what the normal-ish miles in the odo for an ‘11.

At 12,000 (9,600 miles) miles per year average ... your're looking at a good bet. Who drove the car and how well was is taken care of are much more important concerns for you to worry about.

I have about 60,800. I bought it last Summer with 58k miles. I only drive it about once a week.
I bought it because I thought I was getting a job in L.A. and gas is incredibly expensive there.
I will move to L.A. eventually either this year or early next year when I secure a job there.
It will sell my other cars when I move to L.A. so I will be driving it 7 days a week in L.A.

That's what I figured. But of course you get a barrage of responders reporting they're well on the way to 300K.

I will eventually move to Los Angeles. I'm a Camera Operator and Editor.
I'm just building up my experience and saving money in Pennsylvania before making the big move.
I'm hoping that about 32k in savings before the end of 2019 will be enough of a cushion to survive Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is actually #3 in terms of high income households who rent instead of buy homes.
It's 3rd only to San Francisco and San Jose in that statistic.
Honestly, moving to Los Angeles could be scary even for people with 500k of savings.

I’d save as much as possible prior to the move;).

As someone who moved from Northeast PA to the Bay Area once I graduated college with just a Uhaul and what would fit in it, this can be a financial challenge:cool:.

But once you get settled in, you’ll figure it out(y).
