We just bought a 2013 Prius 5 with the advanced tech package. Everything seems to work flawlessly, except the HUD is completely dead. The two lights for HUD and NAV do light when pressed, but nothing at all shows on the windshield. Where would I start for troubleshooting?
Maybe previous owner replaced front windshield, that is not compatible with HUD? (because it's much cheaper). When you set brightness of HUD to maximum, than in darkness you should see something on windshield, but during the day - forget it
I think if they replaced the windshield it'd just show a double image in the HUD. It should still be visible, even in the day.
