One of my nieces had a boss who hated it when she shortened his name to the nickname D*ck. Maybe that was because his name was Thomas.
We've got an old-school Melitta, been using that style since the 60's, when my Mum brought one home. It does use a disposable paper filter each time. I got tired about putting Costco composite material coffee bags in the garbage, started buying coffee by the pound from a down-the-street coffee place that does their own roasting. And bring the bag back every time, refill it. Use each bag for at least a year or so.
These can be composted or just buried in the garden. Worms love coffee grounds. If you area has the Hefty Energy bag program, these can be diverted from the landfill. This program converts non-recylable plastics to energy.
bob sold his prime and purchased a model 3 before creating this thread, so there may have been an ulterior motive that has nothing to do with coffee
Oh yeah, the used filters go in our "green bin". When I was a kid I used to go fishing with a blind man, our downstairs tenant. He had a worm box, and yeah, old coffee grounds were one of the ingredients. (I'm getting to be chief thread derailer, apologies.)
I'm wondering if there is a similar thread in the Dodge Ram truck forum about other human....ah....'attributes' and whether the correlation with the chosen vehicles is as accurate.....
