    • After 2 months of fighting my local toyota dealer which kept insisting my car uses a AGM battery, after calling 12+ auto parts shops and visiting 6 who said they had it and were incorrect, I made this list for any one out there having this problem.
    • Note: after all this trouble Toyota dealers did seem to update their info and although not in stock their Brand is TruStart H4.

The 12 volt Battery Group Size is H4 and or 140R. I found 3 brands
    1. Napa part # 75140R $115
    2. Interstate part # MTP H4 $145
    3. AC Delco part # LM1PS $160

This last one was at Parts Authority and having that part number is the way to find it.
Autozone, advanced auto, pepboys do not have it.
Theres another thread on installing it but I should be posting a video in youtube.
    GOOD LUCK! Hope this helps

Are you really going to check the water level in your battery and add as necessary........maybe every 30 days or so ??

For most people, that is HIGHLY unlikely and it would be prudent to get an AGM battery as a replacement.........regardless of what Toyota put in there to start with.

Yeah, but I don't think Optima makes a battery in the size we need though. That's something I would pay $200 for.
