The "stock" answer would be that it's probably a loose baffle in the muffler. I don't know if that is relevant or not in your case, but I drove a Honda that had a similar rattle that would always briefly present itself as I accelerated past one particular RPM. It was an annoyance, but not worth the expense of correcting it. Your other good candidate would be a slightly loose heat shield over part of the exhaust.
