How to remove this panel? Want to add 12 volt power outlet.

    I'm thinking od adding some more poower ports and this panel looked like a good place.
    How does one remove it?

    Just a slight tug to release the clips. If you have a panel removal tool, it’s very easy.

    Decided to put it into the center consol where it would not be in the way. They fit nicely behind the knee.

    There is a USB plug on the passenger side and a 12 volt power plug on the drivers side.

    All I need now is a place to hook up some power. Found this fuse box under the dash and wonder if i can tap into that. The power outlets have their own fuses.
    Kind of miss having the battery in the back all of the sudden.

    To replace the 30-ampere POWER (power window), P/SEAT (power seat), or S/ROOF (sliding roof, i.e., moonroof) fuses on the side of the Instrument Panel Junction Block Assembly, you could remove the entire assembly using the procedures in the Repair Manual (more info) for removing and installing the Main Body ECU. The remaining fuse position is not used on Prius cars.

    If I had to replace one myself, though, I might crawl under the instrument panel and then gently remove the fuse using bent-nose pliers. Since the Lower No. 1 Instrument Panel Airbag Assembly is nearby, I’d disconnect the negative terminal of the auxiliary (12-volt) battery and wait at least 90 seconds before starting work.

    The replacement fuse is Toyota part number 90982-08306, the Pacific Engineering Corp. SFBC-M series (PDF).
