Do you live in California and did you consider getting a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle (FCV) before opting for an alternative? We are a team of geographers and ethnographers studying how people decide whether or not to get a FCV. We’re especially interested in speaking with those who actually considered purchasing or leasing an FCV but decided AGAINST doing so. We’ve already interviewed many people who bought or leased a Toyota Mirai or other FCV (and would be happy to add to that total), but we really need more participants who decided not to, perhaps buying a Prius instead. Interviews will take about 20 minutes and can be conducted by phone, Skype, or Google Hangouts. Participants will receive a $10 Amazon gift card as a small token of appreciation. Your participation in this study is voluntary. The information you provide will remain confidential and be used for research purposes only. If you are over 18 years of age and interested in participating, please contact me at [email protected] to schedule an interview. Learn more about the study at http://www.public.asu.edu/~mikekuby/H2FCV_Adoption_Study/. Email, comment, or message us if you have any questions. Thanks, Prius Chatters!! I sold my '68 Mustang to use as a downpayment for my now Prius Prime Adv. I was thinking about hydrogen, but with the several set backs that happened due to early infrastructure I opt out. Not to mention the cost is much greater than premium gas. Once the prepaid card runs out, owch. So I'm more concerned with financial decision than evoitmental. Prius is the almost perfect car - just needs more battery reserve to handle to mountain slopes. I get free charging at my manufacturing company and free charging at school. So I will absolutely take advantage of the plug in option! Leasing atm was not for me. Instead I got a loan through a bank since I drive about 60 miles each day. I will own this car till the wheels fall off.
Will, would you be willing to participate in a 20-minute interview? We can't use this post as data - we need to follow our same protocol for every participant. If so, please email me at [email protected] and I will have my PhD student get in touch with you to schedule it. Thanks for the reply!!
