I guess I just joined the club :-( Everything seemed to go fine with the update, until that last step where it said to check to see what version was installed and it said no system found. I took it to the dealer and they said that "The radio is keeping the system from updating correctly and you need a new one for $500+" So, none of you are the "only ones" and there is something strange about this. The radio/bluetooth etc were all working before the update as was the GPS, although the FM section had adopted presets from Sat and only had 3 FM presets. I could live with that. Now the radio will access FM and nothing has changed there, the DVD player works, but I cannot use bluetooth and it does not see my phone. I would be curious to know if anyone has found a solution. I would believe that the head of the radio is not okay now, but why did that happen during the update? Also, if someone has found the right phone number to complain to, I would join in the complaints.

I got all the way to 8, no error message. Entune was toast :-(

I wonder whether a 'bad' update file has been salted on the internet, like nails near "Flat Fix" shops...

I called my dealer today and they gave me a phone number for Toyota customer service. The number is 1-800-331-4331. There was a number to press for entune-related conversations. I spoke with a woman who wanted my VIN, but it turned out, actually, that I am in the system and she did not need it. I how have a case number. She had no idea how many people had reported the same problem, but my point is that anyone who has not reported it, should. Clearly, if I download an update from the Toyota website and follow the instructions for installation and I wind up with NO system at all and the suggestion that I should replace my radio, this HAS to be Toyota's problem, not mine.

What’s odd is the update file successfully used by many was posted on another, private Toyota owner vehicle site, like PC for trucks, not the official Toyota Owners site.

I just updated my system from 5.1 to 5.2 in my 2012 v three. I used a usb 2.0 stick formatted to FAT32. The only thing on the drive was the .iso file. Before I turned the car on I turned the bluetooth feature off on my phone to eliminate any possibility of it causing a problem.

I have the "Display Audio with Navigation and Entune® App Suite" and not the "Premium HDD Navigation with Entune® App Suite"

I downloaded the file from Toyota's site about 30 minutes ago.

I uploaded the log file the car wrote to the USB drive during the upgrade.

5 months after replacing head unit and extension box, bluetooth will not turn on (even with 12v battery disconnect) and USB will not transfer data/music (still provides power). Dealer is diagnosing for free (same time as oil change). 171k miles now.
