What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

What some cops used to do, and somewhere there's a kit, is run a hose, tube, from the A/C vent to the
back seat so their dogs could have cold air blowing on them. You could get some a/c duct hose and so the same thing.

 

Got my car back from the shop today, had a blown head gasket! She runs like a champ now tho. So I had a detail day with my cousins red Prius since she let me drive it for a week while mine got fixed.

So I detailed and did a little headlight resto.

(She still won’t let me mod it tho.. )

 

Got a few things done this morning at Hybridpit in Buena Park.

 

Washed my car at self-wash bay at 6:30am this morning but used my own microfib-mitts. At the vacuum stations, a fella said to me "if they only made Prius that looked like yours, regular people would actually buy them," gave him tour of the tweaks & mods. And applied paint sealant last, glitters of the blizzard pearl like a rainbow trout skin.

 

That's plan B As of right now, HV bat start up is 100 F avg & after 30 mins of driving, HV temp cools down to 80 F. But if plan B is needed- use aluminum flex pipe like on home dryers vent ducts. Pull passenger vent casing out and plug the duct into the vent hole with velcro sticks, terminate other duct end O-screw clamps w/S-hooks to hook around HV intake grill for quick release.

 

I think I’ll always be a kid. Sticker bombed the adapter plate for the head unit.

Got this in the mail yesterday!!! This allows me to use the same oil filters that my other cars use!! Saving even more money!

 

There's a PC member here that say oil pressure will be affected when using a non-oem brand of cartridge filter, youre basically using an entire different oil filter

 

The OEM filter for this add-on is the same for our Yaris.

 

You are free to modify it. I'm not sure how this one attaches. But the one I saw years ago had clips
at the top and bottom and foam around it so it would seal and not touch the moving vents.
But at least this will give you ideas to work with.

 

This weekend I took a tie for fourth place in drag race brackets! This was the second race I won. I was testing out the vvti solenoid, interesting results to post later today.
