Prius installed map. Is there a way to replace specified map for one more driver friendly like Waze

I think both Google and Waze use the same underlying maps. Google has owned Waze for about 5-6 years now.

If you didn’t buy yet, and you are an iPhone user, you could wait for next model year which is rumored to have CarPlay - https://priuschat.com/posts/2879008/

Otherwise you could consider the new corolla hybrid.

 

Or, use the iPhone for audio input and the Waze voice directions will play on the car audio system.

 

Or do what I did and get a phone mount and just run Waze on your phone. Also, you can play phone audio through the car via bluetooth (no wires needed!) However, I did buy a USB cigarette lighter so I could keep my phone charged during long trips.

 

Do you find that the provided USB port does not provide adequate power?

 

Pretty much. It couldn't even stop the battery on my phone from draining even under normal use (i.e. waze + phone music). Does seem like Toyota really underpowered those ports.

 

I have a USB-C adapter in the 12v cig lighter and run a lightning to USB-C for the phone -- fast charging and I can top off my laptop or iPad Pro if I want...
