    I was about to post this too but you beat me to it :)

    The other news is: Toyota expanding CarPlay adoption with retrofit upgrades for older cars (2018 Camry and Sienna)

    I can't post the link but google is your friend.

    I called Toyota corp a few month ago asking about retrofit possibility for 2018 Prime, did not get straight answer but there is still hope as they didn't rule it out either.

    It looks like they were really listening, though I wish they'd listen enough to either fix Entune 2.0, or make a way to update it to carplay. :)

    I have a 2016 Prius 4. If it had CarPlay it would be the perfect car and I would drive it until it dies. I just want CarPlay. Please.

    To me, I'd rather be Advanced than Limited :)

    Did you read the announcement? :)

    The Press Release says 5th Seat "Available" which means (to me) it's optional.
    Maybe only in the higher feature sets?

    I hoped a Spare Tire would have been on the list.

    In the Europe thread it’s rumored to be a $500 option

    A 5. Seat is ok,but what about a bigger boot ?
    If I can seat 5 now,it would be great to have more space for luggage.
    The shape of the battery seems to be unchanged otherwise I guess they would have mentioned it.
    Why didn't they take a look at the Hyundai Ionic Plug-in.
    Hyundai did a much better job shaping the battery resulting in a much bigger trunk !

    How is CarPlay going to work on the 11” screen?

    Found my answer: look at the black interior photo on the press release. And my reaction is “lol”.

    Better an option than "only if you buy trim xxx".

    So:

    LE = Plus
    XLE = Premium
    Limited = Advanced

    Still seems like a day late and dollar short. The sun visor extender is nice -- while I do drive into the sun I try not to head towards the light (at the end of the tunnel). Fifth seat will be nice more in that it should allow more room in the back, I cannot see three adults sharing the back seat of the Prius smiling as much as they are in that picture. More USB (2.1a) ports were probably due in 2015, where's the USB-C with power delivery? Carplay wired - for a 2020 system I want to see wireless Carplay and wireless Android Auto. Maybe coming from behind and delivering some sort of HUD integration.

    What we need to hear more about: lane tracing assist, 360 camera and a charge rate that makes per minute charging not financial suicide.

    Will this new sun visor do anything to improve the horrid side coverage they have now? If so, I hope they make it so that I can retrofit them into my 2017.

    From what I could see on a Gen 4 with the new visor, no. it's a very short extension.

    Glad that they are getting did of the white lavatory accents. Would have been nice to not pay an extra $200 to swap out 2/3 of them.

    Still waiting for them to scrap the regular prius, keep the prime as a PHEV, and make a prius-e BEV
