When installing my fog lights the other day, I found this bundled up wire running off of a red wire going into a harness. I tried to use it to power the led switch for the fog lights but it did not work for that purpose. Any ideas what this was used to power? Or what that red wire is for?
Sorry I thought this image was uploaded originally. I wouldn't go randomly tapping cables. This was obviously used to power something before.
Looks as if the wire that it's spliced to goes to one of the pins of that connector there. Look up the pinout of that connector in the wiring diagram, find what pin that is, and you'll know what circuit's involved.
