Rolled over 100,000 miles on our 2004 Prius tonight. Other than the normal scheduled maintenance and recalls (all performed at a Toyota dealership) no problems other than the "Dreaded MFD Failute" (which was goodwilled by Toyota out of warranty). Just drive, maintain, and enjoy!
Congrats...I'm just a couple hundred short of hitting 50k on my '04, but 100k is another 2.5-3 years down the road for me.
Whoa I am just at 35k. You are in the next world! OK it is maintain and drive? Got it. 100k out of sight!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Stilview @ Aug 29 2006, 10:27 PM) </div> I wonder if I'll do that. Hmm? My first Prius got traded just shy of 60,000 miles. The upgrade is now at that very same mileage. I'm hoping to upgrade again, with a 2009. That could leave the odometer just shy of 100,000 miles. It's an endless crazy cycle, perhaps like buying a computer.
Congratulations. I'm coming up on 72,000 on my 2004. Some of us do a lot of driving. May you have another 100,000 miles of trouble-free driving.
When I enter my gas receipts into the database to have it calculate mpg and all the numbers, it figures out projected 25k miles, 50k and 100k dates. My projected 100k date is: Projected 100k day is: 7/16/2008 1:37:18 AM, (687) days I guess that only counts if my daily average stays at: Average Miles per day: 113.37 The miracle of vbscript... http://d.spicher.home.comcast.net/prius/LifetimeStats.html Did your car get 'loose' over 100k miles? Is the interior junk, the wheels rattle, the steering is wobbly... any of that at 100k?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(john1701a @ Aug 29 2006, 11:29 PM) </div> The only difference is, it's not obsolete "out of the box" Instead, you can still get a pretty penny for it two years later...
Congrats! I did only 22K the first year, hoping I do *less* this year. I take it you didn't go with the extended warranty....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(daronspicher @ Aug 30 2006, 09:59 AM) </div> Ummm...Did I happen to mention this a 2004 Toyota getting regular maintenance and care? The car is like new (other than the dam airport parking door dings). The only thing that's changed recently is the sqeeking review mirror has stopped squeeking and the driver's side floor mat is a bit worn where my heel rests
