placed an order on December 7th for about $1,000 in parts and to this day have not received any updates or nothing. I have tried contacting the shop through here, the seller website, amazon (how I paid) and every way I could imagine. I even paid for expedited shipping so this is like a slap in the face I'm losing hope just really want to get my money back at this point I no longer want the order. hope this helps someone or reaches the right person parts were for a Prius C if that makes any difference
Did you order things from the priuschat web store? There is a sub-forum for that shop, and the first post includes contact info. Good luck!
The system through which you paid should have a process for disputes for orders never received. Have you fully explored and triggered that dispute process? Whenever you had no delivery or communications within 30 days, then it was time to go for the full refund process. Don't delay, there are some time limits to your legal leverage.
Did you pay with a bank account? You could file a dispute and then the seller has to reply. If the seller can't prove they shipped you your parts and they were successfully delivered, your account should be reimbursed and the seller's account will be deducted. The bad thing you have going is that you waited way too long. If I paid over $1000 for something in December, I sure wouldn't just now be complaining at the end of April. I've had this happen to me on multiple occasions, not from Amazon or through any part of this website. But I always use my bank card associated with my Credit Union. My credit union has always got my money back for me, but then once the money comes back, the credit union immediately shuts down my bank card which is a real inconvenience and then I get a new card with a new number. Hope this helps, but wow I can't believe you waited this long especially for such an expensive purchase.
@emune you're far from first to have troubles, especially in the last year or three. Moderators can and do respond, but mostly just to commiserate; they are as much in the dark, and as far as I know just volunteers. It's an ongoing fustration, and the sand-pounder is PriusShop continues to declare itself "open for business".
This could be wrong, outdated or erroneous information : "It is against VISA and MasterCard's regulations for a merchant to bill their cards prior to shipping." "The Fair Credit Billing Act and the Mail or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule protect you so you don't have to pay for merchandise you order but never receive." "Additionally the FTC state that should a merchant fail to ship by the promised date they must advise you of the new date and offer you a chance to cancel the order with a prompt full refund should you have paid in advance."
Yes I agree these are definitely the rules, but that doesn't mean that all companies follow them. I've had at least 3 electronics purchases that I never received AND my card was charged. And that is why I filed a dispute with my credit union as it was a debit card hooked to my checking account. All I had to do was say that I never received the items. Then the seller has to prove that I did receive the items. None of the sellers in my cases actually responded, so I got my money back and then had to immediately shut down my Visa debit card and get a new Visa debit card to avoid the seller trying to charge my card again. I did not have to shut down my checking account or change checking account information. But again, you have waited way too long, so I'm not sure if they will help you. That's the best way to get your money back. You need to have a good case though. For example, @Mendel Leisk mentioned above that you're far from the first to have this problem in the last year or three. You need to PRINT his post to you and take that to the bank or credit union with you. Also, do research if anyone else has had this problem and print off ALL negative posts referring to purchases from the company you purchased from. Do a Google search and again if you find anything negative about the company, PRINT it and take it with you to the bank. I found negative comments or reviews on all my cases saying the company was a scam or similar complaint. You build a pattern and then highlight the bad stuff with a yellow highlighter. This will prove your case and the bank or credit union will get your money back. But again, maybe they'll do that for 60 or 90 days, but you'll have to talk to your bank or credit union to see if they can help you at this point.
Not too useful. The stickied thread says to use an online form that no longer exists. It returns a 404 error.
Huh? For a customer looking for prior customer complaints to show to the payment processor when filing a dispute, I'm seeing plenty of material: PriusShop still open? | PriusChat PriusChat Accessory Shop | PriusChat Anyone home at the Prius chat store? | PriusChat no shipment of order, priuschatshop not responding. help me get what I paid for! | PriusChat Prius Chat Shop will not respond to my emails or phone calls | PriusChat Anyone know what's happening with the PriusChat Shop??? | PriusChat Where is my order? | PriusChat Order Status? | PriusChat
He has been AWOL so much of the past few years, that customers with problems need separate paths for resolution. The best path now is through the payment processor. Hence the links I listed, for new customers to show to their payment processors.
