Switched to some Continental TrueContact three months ago (from the Dunlop OEM). I only have about 3K on them but it looks like a 5% mileage hit (2-3 mp(us)g). The same time of year in 2018 and 2017 that I used to compare were warmer than this year so, I'll probably need to run these for a year to get a good comparison. The reason for picking these over the Michelin Energy Savers was the snow/ice performance (per TireRack reviews). My driving is sedate enough that I haven't noticed any change in performance other than the mileage.

    15" or 17"?

I'm looking at much the same thing - get better grip if I end up keeping my PRIUS past it's warranty (3 yrs - so 2 mths to go).

OEM Dunlop Enasave 01 A/S on my PRIME is down to 5/32 after 20k. Those tires when new had only 8/32 to start, and I would not want them to go below 3/32. As they get worn out, very good initial mpg even improved a bit, but the ride is getting very noisy and rough. I think I can get through this summer before changing to snow tires in the fall, but I am starting to look around for a new set for next year. Plenty of time to look for the bargain prices. I am thinking of getting tires with more comfort. Smoother and quiet ride. TireRack rate this cheap tires from Japan very high in comfort category. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?message=singleSize&tireMake=Riken&tireModel=Raptor+HR&width=195%2F&ratio=65&diameter=15&cameFrom=selectSize&partnum=965HR5RHR Has anyone tired those Riken Raptor tires before?
