Dome Light Flashing While Car is Off

    My 2005 Prius seems to have a mind of it's own. If the dome lights are in Door mode and the car is off, they will sometimes slowly pulse off and on. It is a very deliberate and slow intermittent light. It happens to both the front and rear dome lights. If I flip them to the off position, this does not occur. They still function in the on position as well. With that said, I mostly always used it in the door position, as it was quite convenient and a feature I'm missing!
    Thoughts? Fellow gripes? Anything?
    I'll be hitting 184xxx any day now.

    never heard of it. maybe a bad switch? start with the 12v health.

    Perhaps a door switch is faulty, and odds are it is the one on the driver's door.

    Do you, by any chance, have the smart-key system, and are you walking near the car with the fob in your pocket?

    It does that ....
