I think it sounds like a good deal for both you and the dealer. Also, if you pay enough taxes for 2018, you willl get full $4502 tax credit.

Nope. They use the same radar but are not the same thing.

BSM notifies you, via the yellow lit icons on the wing mirrors, about the potential of an object in your blindspot in the adjacent lane (left or right). It will flash rapidly if you indicate and there's a vehicle there.

RCTA activates in reverse and scans left/right for approaching vehicles that are 90° to your direction of travel (so it may not catch vehicles if there's a curve in the road (left/right or elevation type curve) that may impede the radar's view of an approaching vehicle. It will alert you on the 4.2" MID along with an audible buzzer if it detects a vehicle as you are moving backwards. This version does not auto-brake (That's RCTB on certain Toyota models).

Hi got a new prime today. So far had some short distance driving to stores and home. Didn't use gas just the battery for all which was cool. And I really think HUD is cool but does anyone find it little bit distracting? :)

You can dim, adjust hud up and down.... page 253, 2020 manual...was thinking that myself but you have to minimize it in your brain ;D

You can always turn it off by pressing the HUD button to the left of the steering wheel. (There are 3 settings - OFF, speedo/DRCC, speedo/HSI/EV range)

Just a heads up - the remote AC no longer works via an app, even though Toyota is still advertising that it does. All the app features for the car were discontinued in Sept 2019. It’s pathetic that Toyota still hasn’t updated its advertising and manuals to reflect this but they haven’t.

o_OTrue, they don't work on the 2020 Prime Limited, but the Advanced Apps are still working just fine on my 2017 Prime. I have used Eco Dashboard, Charge Management, and Vehicle Location in the last couple of days.

I just bought the 2020 prime prius limited. I had the 2017 prius prime and you used to be able to use the entune app to see your charging current status and vehicle locator, did they discontinue that now showing in app as well?

    Nice thread.
So still the same for plug ins! You never have to plug it in as it is optional?????

You are not required to plug it in. If you don't, it behaves like a normal hybrid with a bigger than normal battery. The bigger battery will allow you to recover more energy from regenerative braking.

Depending on where you are, charging from the grid may be much cheaper than using gasoline. Personally, I find it more convenient to plug in the charger each day instead of having to go to the gas station every month or so.
