After a week of not starting the engine, i am experiencing some issues. First, the 12V battery is drained, which is normally, considering that 3 weeks ago i had to jump start it, and only drive it a few kilometers after that. However i am also getting a weird noise when the ignition is switched to on. Also it seems that i can push the brake pedal to the floor without big effort. Should i be worried about that? Sorry for my bad english, is not my native language.
welcome! it is likely that all these symptoms are related to the 12v. if you're going to keep the car, start by replacing it.
Yes, I thought that it may be related to the 12V battery, but last time when it drained, there was no noise.
test it in the morning after the car has been off overnight. should be at least 12.4v might be that your brake pump is getting old.
I've only have had my Prius 2017 for 3 weeks less than 9000 miles last night it started making a humming/buzz noise and it won't go away. Any idea what this is?
Gina, you're posting in the wrong part of the forum. This part is for very old Pri's. We know almost nothing about late models. Maybe run it into the dealer, it's probably covered by warranty.
