I finally figured out how to remove the door panels. Can anyone share any instructions on how to reupholster the fabric with leather?

I don't want to hijack your thread, but can you share on removing the door panels? I've seen a few posts on that. My armrest has "collapsed" and I'd like to rig some DIY fix rather than spend the huge money at the dealership.

No worries. I found a video on how to remove it. Here's the LINK.

Oh my goodness, I did this about 3 years ago. It requires a lot of patience. I followed someone else's instructions. It should be in the Gen III modification tab. In the search bar, type in "leather armrests". Using screws from the inside to hold the plate in place did not hold up. Eventually the weight of my arms as well as my passengers pop them loose. I suggest good glue.

I used an old Liz Clairborn woman's leather jacket. There's enough material to do both front doors. Of course, both sides wont match as (1) I haven't met two women who have the same exact leather jacket, (2) or one woman who has two of the same leather jackets and (3) that I really don't give a sh..

.. anyway, I left the old fabric in place and used 3M Super 90. To reassemble, I used nylon PCB push pins, some padded bar clamps and JB Weld Qwik epoxy.
