I have about 700 miles on my prius since I replaced the transmission and input damper. Within the last 100 or so I've been noticing a clunk when braking quicker than normal or braking normally around a turn. It is just one clunk. It is not coming from the brake pads or sway bar links. My control arm bushing appear fine. My axle nuts are tight. I think I can feel the clunk in my feet. I can here a similar clunk if I lift the car and rotate the front wheel back and fourth till it stops. It sounds like it may be the input damper going from forward to reverse position. Doesn't seem to add up although I know it is used in braking some times. Any ideas?
