I just go the 2018 Prius Prime Plus. But there seems to be no good space to attached my cell phone holder. If I attach it at the air vent, then (when its cold) hot air blows at the phone which already may get warm when charging. Then, there is option to attached using the CD opening (great idea). In these both options the phone will cover up the display. Another option seems to attached to the left side which I like. But there is the side airbag. Isn't this s safety risk?
So, I really wonder what people actually use as cell phone holder in their 2018 Prius Prime Plus which is not a safety concern and they are happy with. Many thanks all!

In my previous generation Prius with a very similar CD slot to the Plus I used both an Anker and Koomus CD slot magnetic mount. I mounted the metal pieces to the inside of my case instead of to my phone and it worked extremely well. Of the two I preferred the Koomus.

Here are links to the mounts I've used, but there are many options.

    Anker:

    Koomus:

As far as blocking the screen, there is some obfuscation. To solve this I slid the mounts as far to the passengers side of the car as possible and made sure the metal mount plates on the phone were as low as possible without blocking any holes. It solved the problem to my satisfaction.

    Best of luck!

Also have the 7" Deck. I bought a cheapy CD phone mount on eBay for $7.00. Then I bought a iOttie quick release wireless car charger for $$50.00, tossed the arm suction cup thing that attached to the ball joint. And merged it to the ball joint on the CD mount(Ball joint is a perfect fit). As far as the heat issue your concerned about. If I use the heater, I use a fast charging cable for my Samsung S9 just from the 12v power adapter. The phone holder blocks the heat pretty well, And if I use my A/C then I hook the high power micro USB cable that comes with the kit and wires to back to the iOttie. The wireless charging does make the phone warm, the A/C definitely keeps it cool. Photos 20190129_215723.jpeg 20190129_215628.jpeg 20190129_215632.jpeg 20190129_215654.jpeg

    I bought this for $13

and I use the 'slide free pad' that came with this 'drop stop'. This is also a great way to keep out french fries.
    No glue on the dash.

works well and no sliding. I use in landscape mode (sideways)

Hmm.... Great set up! Definitely better. I'm going to buy it to use the clip for the Dash/vent and Frankenstein it with my iOttie quick release phone holder at the ball joint.

Road-ahead makes one that secures to the top edge of the vent to the right of the screen - it snaps right into dash - just google Prius cell holder and you will find it
