I'm scratching my head here I've read several times the locking features of the charging cable in the user guide but I'm still not getting it! At home, I use a EVO Innovate Charger 220V cable. My car is set to auto-lock when cable is plugged in. I hear a click sound when I plug in my cable. If I try to unplug the cable (and FOB is not on me), I am able to pull out the charging cable, without even pressing the charge connector lock button . I've tried all modes, Manual Lock, Auto Lock and Auto Lock & Unlock. No luck. Is the lock mechanism only working on the Toyota supplied 110v charging cable?
I use the Duosida level 2 charger and I programmed it so it will automatically unlock when charging is complete. Perhaps that what you have it set it to? If you auto lock only you have to manually unlock to pull out the charger. And I don't think you need the key fob to unlock but I could be wrong. moto z3 ?
Ok, I should've done this before. I turned on my flashlight and noticed that the lock pin doesn't reach my EVOInnovate charging cable due to its design! I compared both cables (Toyota OEM and my own) and it make sense now. I should've done this before posting this thread! Sorrry! Good news is that that's my home charger inside my garage... so I guess the system should work if I ever use a public charger!
