I am new to the forum and apologize I am not sure where to post this. I took the manifold off to clean intake and throttle body. When i was putting the throttle body back on, I think i overtightened one of the stud bolts and now it just spins. Is there a way to replace the studs on the intake manifold?? I am not sure what do to besides ordering another intake manifold. Any advice would greatly be appreciated!
The studs are part #90126-06027. FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM. For 2011 Toyota Prius Hatchback HYBRID | Village Toyota Parts
You need an E6 Torx socket for the studs. Still, what is it that's spinning? The stud screws into an embedded insert in the intake manifold: is that the thing that's broke loose? Maybe you could bond that with 2 part epoxy?? Here's a pic, is it the embedded brass-coloured bit (flagged) that's loose? The torque value for the throttle body nuts/bolts is 7 ft/lb, see attached.
Thanks everyone for your help...I am waiting until this weekend to take it apart. I definitely overtightened the studs after seeing the torque specs lol...I believe that the embedded insert is what is broken, if so I will definitely try the epoxy. Do you have any recommendations for which epoxy?
