Hello I had an accident 07 09 2018. The car is Toyota Prius 2 2014 had a solar panel and a solar roof. The car turned over on the roof and it all crashed. The car was left without a roof as a result I got a head injury when unfastened seat belts and landed his head on the road strewn with broken glass. Whether prompt it is possible to collect compensation for an unsafe roof from the manufacturer?
Probably not because the roof rails look to be intact so the roof strength is fine. The glass, well, any car with a moonroof (especially with a panoramic moonroof on some other cars) will suffer the same fate. So my advice to you is either don’t buy cars with moonroofs or be aware the next time (hopefully there’ll never be a next time) you’re in this scenario.
You mean the Tesla that has a much lower center of gravity and is less likely to roll over in the first place? Mike
i mean this would never happen to me that prius looks pretty good for a rollover, you need a liability lawyer
I'm actually quite surprised at how strong the structure is for a rollover. The A-pillars barely budged!!
Was your hand injured, too? Because your grip on the phone seems off a bit. Could be from the head injury ... How do you know the roof was unsafe? And it seems like you made a bad decision unbuckling. No. The one that will not have a place to get factory service in 2025. I agree. Let's see pictures of the head.
Judging by the remnants it looks like you did the inverted electric slide. Glad you weren't hurt any worse.
Sorry for your accident and glad you are able to talk about it. However, instead of looking to blame Toyota, how about praising them that you were able to walk away from this accident and talk about it. The car did what it was designed to do, protect you as well as a vehicle with a glass roof can. These are the risk one takes when buying a non solid roof car, whether a sunroof, panaramic roof or convertible.
As previously mentioned, the roof was strong enough to prevent collapse, saving your life. The manufacturer element did its job. Compensation should come from the party that T-boned you.
Too much information. These are personal legal matter that shouldn't be discussed with millions of viewers.
