2010 Prius Blown Engine - What are my options?

I am having similar issues with my 2012 Prius 3. with 237,00 miles on it I had 2 diagnostics done and was told I blew head gasket, replace engine, one dealer quoted 6800 and 2nd 7000 with 140,000 miles on it
Can you please let me know where you purchased engine from? If I trade I will not get anything for it

SAME JUST HAPPENED TO ME, CAR WAS RUNNING FINE NO NOISES NO ISSUES OUT THE BLEW EXACT THING HAPPENED, UNDER CAR NOISE, THERE WAS NOT RUNNING HOT OR LOW OIL PRESSURE, CAR WAS RUNNING FINE DOING 70MPH FOR ABOUT 25 + MINUTES ON THE HIGHWAY AND BUMP THIS BIG HOLE HAPPEN, CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN WTH HAPPENED ???

 

Likely failed head gasket, coolant drawn into engine piston cylinder, and when piston attempts to come up it is stopped, since the coolant is not compressible. So piston arm connection breaks, and punches out hole in engine block wall.

How many miles on it? Has the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) circuit and intake manifold been cleaned?

Properly functioning EGR is needed to keep engine temperatures down. When it's clogged, engine temperature goes up, and everything is stressed more, leads to head gasket failure.
