Is there a way to delete radio presets and not just reassign them to a different station? I played with the radio in my Prime Advanced for about a half hour with no success and searched the owners manual. I have about 20 stations set on XM radio that I set during the trial period that I will never use and just want them to go away. Trivial issue but aesthetically annoying for me.
I've not tried it on my 2017 but pulling power to the 12V battery used to do it quite nicely on my 2010. Write down the ones you want to keep first.
I disconnect battery infrequently on ours, when doing brakes. I do have capability to employ a memory saver, but don't want to. I can't recall (presets are my wife's department) what happens subsequently, but suspect (in the battery disconnect case) the presets are all reassigned to random frequencies? Maybe the presets are always set to something? Guess it'd be nice to blanket-set 'em all to a specified dead-air frequency, just so you know which are set and not.
there's a way to select the number of presets show (one of the options... just snowed by me so i'm not going to walk outside at the moment and check ). it think it defaults to 36 but you can decrease the number in steps of 6 if I remember correctly (or maybe multiple of 8?).
you have to go into the settings of your screen and go into general and press delete personal information. It gets rid of all the presets, erases the phone from the car, and if you have saved addresses it gets rid of those too, but it sets the radio back to factory settings, so you can have all the radio stations reset. I work at Toyota as a Orientation specialist. This is the only way to reset your presets.
If DEFKANN5 is correct and this procedure is the ONLY way to delete presets, Toyota software engineers need to get off their dead a.... and come up with a user friendly way of fixing this problem.
I have to agree with this. There are a number of minor things wrong with the navigation and audio interface and this is just one in a long list. For all it's technological advances, the dashboard controls, navigation, and audio controls sure are not driver friendly. Software engineers should make a fix for this and offer it to all Prius owners that it is applicable to. And PLEASE use actually drivers to test for user-friendliness!
I Totally and Completely Agree!! The User Interface on My 2017 Prius is absolutely nuts! The inability to delete unwanted radio channel presets is the biggest headache, followed by the fact that Toyota has no idea how to implement BlueTooth interaction with the iPhone. Music starts playing the second I end a call... for no reason, and I have to pull over and disconnect the iPhone and BT. And Let's not forget how annoying it is when your wife's phone calls always play on the audio system while you're driving and there's no way to mute... many arguments over that one!!!!!!!!! She never remembers to turn off her bluetooth before getting in the car! W-T-H!!!! And the Nav Map will not allow ANYONE (even passengers) to program it while the car is moving!!!!! How stupid is that??? Oh ya, and here's one more huge brain-dead design feature... has anyone ever tried using the volume control knob without accidentally brushing against the channel selection touch screen and inadvertently changing channels? The knob is barely 1/4" from the touch screen, they could have made it stick out more so we'd at least have a chance!!! Wake Up Toyota!!!!!!
I can't read all the complaints...what I read, I experienced, so far...my head is hurting from what I haven't even seen, yet!
I have 2016 Prius Three. As an ex-XM user, I found APPS/ Setup/Audio, Number of Radio Presets 6 to 36. Dropping the Presets down to one screen.
