No disassembly was nevessary. 2013 and 2018 harness end-plugs are identical. You just have to peel back the cargo area inside plastic cover to get at the point where the harness plugs in. Wear gloves so you don't slash your hands like I did. That was the hardest part. The rest was a slam dunk. And as mentioned, you'll need 2 red LED modules: per, one for the brakes, and one for the parking light. I don't have pictures of the assembly, but if anyone really needs it, I can take it apart and snap some.

Anyone want my old taillights? They're in perfect condition.

So I ordered Morimoto fogs. Yeah there’s a slight gap compared to the eBay ones since it’s a universal fog. But I’m pleased on how it looks and the color since it’s close to stock.

I got my windows tinted today. 50% up front and 20% in the rear. A little more privacy and security. The dog likes it too.

I was tinkering around inside the car and decided to add a little bit of additional mass to the door panel. This will give it a more substantial feeling and reduce any unwanted vibrations from the speakers. A little goes a long way.
Looking at the design the plastics are pretty thin and there are 3 pieces of thinsulate type material for noise reduction. In comparison, I think my previous Rav4 had a larger section of only jute padding. The thinsulate is lighter and I believe more effective.

Today it was sunny and I had some time to pull the rear door panel. Inside is some jute padding instead of the thinsulate type up front. I noticed there was no door edge foam gasket. Does anyone know where to source some factory style foam gasket? I have speaker surround foam but it doesn't compress like the oem stuff. The factory type is either really soft or squishy foam. Also discovered what appears to be a fabric covered honey comb style sound absorber. I didn't bother adding any extra mass on the rear panel since nobody sits back there and the volume output seems to be less than the front.

I think that honeycomb is a crash gasket. If somebody T-bones you, the force goes into the reinforced battery cage instead of deforming the door (as much).

Here is the Kagu (maxpider) rear floor mat. Nothing wrong with the OEM 2 piece rear floor liners but they were a bit thicker in spots and probably weighted twice as much as the Kagu. Keeping the OEM ones up front for the durability.

I purchased it off of Autoanything using one of their promotional discounts combined with an intro-tech sun visor. The 3D Maxpider Kagu floor mat rear only is 64.69. You might be able to find it cheaper on eBay "make an offer".

IMG_2826.jpg Today I swapped the standard halogen H11 bulbs in the fog lights for Philips CrystalVision Ultra H11s I had laying around after I upgraded the headlights low beams to LEDs. They are whiter but probably not worth it over quality LED bulbs.

Picked up the Prius C rubber storage mats in blue on eBay. I couldn't locate if a Left Hand Drive set was available, looks like only the overseas Right Hand Drive (no armrest Aqua) set is produced. No a huge deal but would have been nice. I'll likely use the ones that don't fit as a template and try to do something custom. If you just want a OEM cup holder liner then part 58817-42010 (bottom image) or similar would also work but the whole Chinese set it cheaper. Here is mine after I washed them.

I was thinking of a good material to use for a DIY console and upper glove box liner. Anyone have any ideas? I first thought of a felt like material but anything with an adhesive backing might get sticky in the summer time. Maybe cork, drawer liner or some kind of textured rubber. Something to jazz it up a bit visually would be cool.

Tinted the whole front windshield 70%, I know it's not legal, but I had it on my BMW for 2 years w/o any problems, ill take my chances again.
