Just purchased a new 2019 Toyota Prius Prime Advanced in the Los Angeles area yesterday (Gray color). Been extremely happy so far -- got 31 miles of electric range this morning driving to work in mostly stop and go traffic! MSRP was right about $34,800 -- I ended up paying $32,400 after negotiation and the $500 rebate. After the $4,500 tax credit my cost will be $27,900. Not nearly as good as some of the lucky folks on the east coast that can find 2018's with the $5,000 customer cash -- but for Southern California I wasn't finding anything else cheaper. One quick question -- when I try to scroll through my artists on my iPhone music library using Bluetooth, after going through about 20 artists it says I can only scroll through more artists while the car is stopped??? Every other car I've owned lets me scroll through my entire music library. What gives? Any way to disable that? Thanks, Robert
Most of my main beefs with the Prime fall around the entertainment system that feels a decade old. The irony is that the JBL audio is absolutely fantastic sounding. The interface is awful to say the least, the use of space is horrendous (so much unused real estate ). Don’t even get me started on the lack of album art unless the emergency brake is on (so stupid). Other than that the car is fantastic. Enjoy! iPhone ?
There is a work around device to allow using everything while moving. The device (mine came shipped from Japan by DHL). All documents in Japanese. There are very good instructions on ytube. I installed mine in about 2 hours being VERY careful. It works perfect. A good car stereo place quoted $140 to install. The Device (on Anazon) was $150. This is the 3rd Prius (2007,2010 and 2018 Prine) that the device had to be modified. The modification device simply plugs in - no cutting and simple to remove. Do watch video to see if saving $140 is worth it to do it yourself. I would caution you to be sure. The really sad thing is the display is 1970 TOYOTA display resolution and the lack of CarPlay must be in part because the car hardware is antiquated by about 3 decades and not compatible with current or even recent best practice. Pathetic and consistent with Toyota several disappointing Prime design choices.
Yes, beatsonic is the US distribution for the device I installed. Some experience in this kind of project would be advised.
There is also $1500 rebate from CA that you might qualify. Also check with your power company for additional rebates.

When I get that message while scrolling through address book destinations, I just go back to address book destinations and continue (where I left off) scrolling through x pages until it stops/warns me again. Repeat as necessary. This might work for song and artist scrolling too.
