Good day Prius owners. I have done my due diligence looking through previous posts and threads and can’t seem to find my problem anywhere. We have owned a Prius for over 8 years and have never seen this. We purchased new a 2017 Prius prime plus and up u til today have had zero complaints or problems. My wife asked me to look at the outlet that we use to plug our car in because she stated it was charged after being plugged in for over 8 hours. I plugged the car in, you could head the normal double click after plugging it in, the small green light turns on just under the plug in. Approximately 10 seconds later you can hear the transformer click that’s near the wall outlet, then the green light goes out. I’m assuming at this point the “charging” stops. I have tried 4 different outlets, all the same reading as far as AC output. Has anyone had this problem? Does anyone have a solution or something I should try? Thank you all for the help with this. Nate Please excuse any typos, I’m doing this my my phone.....
I had this issue too. Found out the moment I shut off the car I have to select "charge now" then it works the car will sit there waiting till you plug in the cord. At least with my prime....should be the same with youra Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I’m not sure if my wife scheduled a charging time. I don’t recall seeing a charge now anywhere in the display. Unfortunately I don’t drive the vehicle as much as she does. I’ll head out and look. Thank you. I’ll get back to you shortly. Thx
I just came in from checking the car. Thanks for all the help, it was a scheduling issue. I changed it to charge “now” and it took right off!! Again, thank you!!
