When I took out the cabin air filter, I don't see any arrow direction at all on the old one. My new one has arrow direction like home A/C filter. Which way should the arrow points to? thanks.
Some have an arrow with “UP”. That one is obvious. Some just have an arrow which is direction of airflow. (Hopefully someone else can confirm).
Shoot. Did this 2 weeks ago with a Toyota OEM cabin air filter. Recall that there is a fat arrow with “UP” embossed on the end that you can see when you insert it into the plastic frame in back of the lower section of the glove compartment. I appear to have thrown out the old one, so no pic.
It's designed so that junk that gets through the intake screens lands on top of the filter and stays there. That would dictate that the air flows downward.
