Has anyone bought a TIS subscription specifically to access the Gen 4 service repair manual? It just occurred to me this morning that the answer I'm seeking regarding the way the modules are connected to each other (welded or fastened) on the NiMH HV battery should be in the manual. However, I'm not willing to pay $15 to see if the information is available since I don't own a Gen 4 and won't be buying one in the foreseeable future.
Yes I have gone through the service manuals as well as the new car feature sections. There is no mention of how the bus bars are fastened. Hope this helps.
I downloaded already. Took 16 hurs to download everything in html, now I'm combining into one pdf About 2000 chapters.
I have a 2017 Prius Two. I am looking for the TIS service manuals. In particular I need troubleshooting flowcharts for the AC / Heat automatic control system. My car seems possessed and Toyota cannot find anything. Recommendations? Thanks!
Although I've never had any significant issues with my 2017 Prius 2, my former 2008 Gen 2 would sometimes act a bit odd, and I found that disconnecting the 12v aux. battery, waiting a few minutes then reconnecting would force a "cold reboot" of the various system computers and except for needing to reset the clock, and losing "tripmeters" to zero (main odometer not affected), it usually fixed the mysterious problem. Certainly wouldn't hurt to try.
Your local public library offers access at no charge to the Chilton Library service, which includes the text and illustrations from Toyota’s Repair Manual for the 2016 Prius, which also covers your car. Look under 2016 Toyota Prius > Repair > Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning > Heating & Air Conditioning > Air Conditioning System.
