Idle Air Control Valve IAC

    I have a 2014 Prius C. I cannot find whether or not there is an idle air control valve on it.

    I'm not aware of any Prius model having or needing an Idle Air Control valve. It's got a full-fledged electronically controlled throttle. Will it disappoint you not to have an IAC?

    It doesn’t have one. It’s all controlled by the ECU via the electronic throttle body.

    No disappointment. Just checking over what all may need to be cleaned out when cleaning the throttle body.

    Be careful cleaning the TB. Don’t force it or push it open in any way. I’ve read a few accounts of people damaging it while trying to clean it too thoroughly. When I did mine I just used q tips soaked in carb cleaner and cleaned around the edges of the throttle plate.
