I remember reading on the Toyota Japan site something about a raised height on the refreshed Aqua. I compared the specs of the 2017 with the 2018/9 from Toyota USA and they are also different. Ground clearance is the same at 5.5 inches so it might be just the added plastics. I just picked up a 2018 Prius C two so I've been learning more about specifications and features. The seat cushions are comfortable and it is easy to get in and out of the car. 2017 Overall height/width/length 57.3/66.7/158.7 2018 Overall height/width/length 59.6/68.6/162.4
The new tupperware on the fender edges accounts for the width, the new nose likely accounts for the length... Height? Hmmm.. I'm trying to think what might have changed there. Radio antenna? The roof rack isn't enough to account for that difference and I don't think they would change the tire size that much...
In the image? It's a ride height comparison between the standard vs the crossover style Aqua. In Japan they still make both trims. For us here it looks like we might have gotten the crossover style for 2018 and 2019.
