For the Prius? What happened to your fuel pump and inverter water pump?

 

Hedging my bets.

No issues to date, but those pumps are approaching 10 years in service.

If I’m going to successfully complete the @bisco challenge and convince the wife that as the miles rack up, we can still use the Prius, I’ll be doing each of these as preventative maintenance .

Good conventional advice.

But my luck dictates that when we are on our annual SoCal trip, one would go out and now I’m down there with the parts up north and I’m sure I would be hearing about it.

But I don’t gamble for the same reason.

 

Make sure to film it btw the Prius fuel pump looks easy.

 

I ain’t got the goods.

Professional equipment required and I am a pure noob at videography .

I’d be good to finally meet up.

@Raytheeagle , if no one else is helping you film and depending on how much time you need for the inverter pump, I can try helping with filming. I got nikon d5500. I usually to photography, but i can try videography

@tallassazn , if i'm not filming and got free hands, i can help you with the egr and and OCC.

Since @tallassazn wants to do the egr circuit cleanse, I’m a fan of starting early.

Could be as early as 8 am, depending on when people want to arrive.

Where would you be coming in from?

@tallassazn , you got most of the material (cleaning stuff, brake cleaner, maf sensor cleaner, etc) and/or parts for this work?

I’ve got everything needed.

We’ve done 3 or 4 before at the meetups.

Bring the coolant we’ll be good to go.

Yes, we had liftoff at around 8am this morning.

Pretty sure the PM/conversation went out a couple of days ago, for those that showed prior interest or had signed up.

Let me see if I can pull @Raytheeagle away and add you to the 'conversation'.

 

I thought I had signed up, but I've had trouble with this phone where it won't throw an error when it's low power and the "send message" fails

Which is a long way off saying that I thought I had responded, but I can't seem to find it. 8)

Well another successful meetup completed.

Attendees:

• @tallassazn with an egr circuit cleanse and oil catch can install (mounted by driver’s headlight)
• @Grit with an egr circuit cleanse and oil catch can install (went low below the intake manifold )
• @wvs2003 attending for social aspects and sharing his experience experience with egr circuit work and lending a hand in the process
• @The Critic with social aspects, lending a hand and leaving a very nice shop light for our engine dismantling use

We had a bit of an extended afternoon (and @Grit had a mild heat beat skip) after the vacuum hose to the intake manifold was left off and the P0A0F was displayed.

We had Techstream though and worked it out.
