IMG_1121.jpeg Early last week I finally pushed over the 400,000 mile mark on my 2007 Prius. Original engine, changed the traction battery with a reman. at 360K and changed my own oil religiously at 4K using the Walmart branded synthetic. I've changed axles more than brake pads with this car, due to torn/ cracked boots. Changed my trans fluid every 150,000 miles. This is the modern day equivalent to my old Volvo 240, it's to bad that Toyota doesn't enbrace these high mile cars with a small badge honoring not only the car, but the team that designed and built this modern day classic!

    Wow!

BTW, what year was it that Toyota finally fixed the odometer, so it would display more than 299,999?

    Some interesting testament:

Facebook has a Toyota High Mileage club. You can order 1 for $10. Congrats on 400k!

My measly 210k only earns me the green one lol.

    I’m easily at 350k
Not seeing any major signs of issue except for a cough/stumble near low rpm when motor is kicking off

I am still learning the cars quirks
    It’s a daily
One I’m happy to learn and grow my hybrid info on-
I think of it as a large RC car-

Glad to know w some love these cars can keep on going

Jerry - does your Prius live in a garage when parked?
I am wondering if climate is a large factor in longevity of the battery/components.

    Just curious-

Is it a sticker or a plastic Emblem?

I'm probably more impressed that YOU drove 400k in 10 years than that the car made it. That's 40k per year! Sounds like a chore. I'm not sure I've driven 400,000 miles in my entire life, and I'm not exactly a child.
