Renting a 2017 Volt (through Turo) down in Miami in a couple of weeks. Will be my first time I've spent more than a few minutes in a Volt. Looking forward to it.

    1. Do you feel like you are in a foxhole?
    2. How well does the "adaptive cruise control" work?

I hope Volt's the drivetrain finds itself in other products.

I also hope all the Volts and EL-Rs on the roads last a very, very long time. I'm skeptical of GM's reliability as a whole, but who knows how that meshes with reality. Branding is a powerful thing.

My short time (2 days) with the Volt was excellent! Lots of tech and comfortable. I always felt like I had plenty of power and found the "hold/hybrid" mode to be pretty efficient. 60+ EV miles is a game changer for a lot of people. Felt like a ton compared to our 10 mile PiP. It's such a shame they discontinued this vehicle. I think it is perfect for a wide variety of commutes. Used Volt's will be excellent value IMO.
