Would people be interested in a bolt-on aluminum skidplate for prius C? I have rallycrossed my car all summer, and it has been nice to have, both from aero and protection standpoints. Just gauging interest, nothing to sell.
I could post a pic of the first one I made. I bent it with a sledge over my workbench anf cut it with a sawzall. Actual product would be laser cut and bent on proper equipment. Would include all hardware to bolt to the front crossmember and the rear ears on the unibody. Mine held up for a whole season of rallycross, and covers completely past the rear lower engine mount.
I see this thread is about a month old now, but I'd be interested in one. My other car is a G1 Honda Insight, nearly it's entire underside is covered and I imagine the C would benefit from this as well.
For a competitive price, yes. I am always trying to take my C1 where it really shouldn't be going. I am also trying to figure out how to lift it by about an inch. The Prius is literally the most popular car in Fiji and I noticed most of them are lifted there due to the bad roads.
Bumping. Interested x2, we are not gentle or timid with our Prii and some underbody protection would be nice on unpaved desert roads.
Maybe interested. I have an Aluminum one on my Subaru; I’m certain the plastic one I took off would not have survived some of the things left on the road.
Rally crossing a Prius C. There may be stories to tell about that adventure. I am not sure how many co-member would desire a skid plate. In my case, no, do not need a skidplate for my driving style.
